subj: COMICON first post

I'm putting the finishing touches on this my first ever blog. I've started it to commemorate my attending the 2010 San Diego Comicon, July 21-25, in, um, San Diego of course. This whole process started in 2009. There were a lot of news bits in 09 on Comicon, which prompted conversations with my wife. I had always wanted to go to San Diego, and she encouraged me to go for it.

I purchased my membership in September 09, and I think memberships sold out in December. Since then a lot of fun filled planning has gone into making it all happen, and tomorrow WED 7-21, I fly out to San Diego for Preview night. Yippee!

The fun part about all the planning has been getting back into my comics. I have about 1500 books, and for the past few months I've been sorting, organizing, and reading them. I've culled it down to about 1100 books, and I have an updated checklist to go shopping with.

In addition to the mega shopping potential, I will be geeking out on several artist panels and presentations, and for the first time will be seeking an autograph or two. And I'm sure the prople watching will be exquisite

I'm setting up the blog so I can send text messages throughout the show, and will keep notes for a full on debrief afterwards. So on with the show!
